About the Author

Kay Flavell was born in Wellington and taught for 37 years in universities in New Zealand, Europe, California and Australia. In 2001 she founded New Pacific Studio as a residency programme for artists and writers, and she now divides her time between New Zealand and California. She is also the author of George Grosz: A Biography, and Moon over the Pacific.
