Audrey Teuki Tetupuariki Tuioti Brown is of Cook
Islands Maori (Atiu/Aitutaki/Rarotonga) and Samoan
(Savaii) descent, born in the Cook Islands and raised
in New Zealand. A graduate of Auckland University,
she is a credited writer of two short films and works
as a diplomat with the Cook Islands High Commission
in Wellington.
Threads of Tivaevae: Kaleidoskope of Kolours is
Audrey's first collection of poetry, written primarily
in the Cook Islands.
Veronica Vaevae is a new media artist of Cook Islands
Maori (Mangaia/Manihiki) descent, born and raised in
New Zealand. A graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts
in time-based arts, she was the inaugural recipient of
the Creative New Zealand Pacific Island Artist in
Residency (2001). Veronica's work is interdisciplinary
and ranges from experimental film-making to videography,
photography, sculpture and digital design. Her work has
been exhibited throughout Australia, New Zealand, the
Cook Islands, Europe and the United States.
